Community rules
Community is where people share decks to learn from. These rules keep it safe and useful. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or for abusive users.
Who can share
Anyone can browse shared decks, add them and vote on them. To share a deck of your own, you need a Flashwell account, and you agree to these rules first.
What you can share
Decks you made yourself, or have the right to share. A shared deck is public, under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 licence (CC BY-SA 4.0), and credited with the name you choose.
What isn't allowed
- Hate, or harassment of anyone, for who they are or what they believe.
- Sexual or pornographic content.
- Anything that exploits or endangers children.
- Threats or violence, or encouraging anyone to hurt themselves or others.
- Anything illegal, or that helps someone break the law.
- Spam, adverts, or links that sell something.
- Someone else's work, shared without their permission.
- Anyone's personal details, such as their address or phone number.
Before a deck goes up, Flashwell checks its name, its description and every card for words that aren't allowed.
Report and block
Every shared deck in the app has Report and Block. Report tells us what's wrong with a deck. Block hides everything that person shares from you straight away, and lets us know too. You can also write to support@flashwellapp.com.
What happens next
We review every report within 24 hours. If a deck breaks these rules, we remove it. People who break them again, or break them badly, are blocked from sharing. A deck that several people report is hidden until we have looked at it.
Copyright
If a shared deck copies your work without your permission, e-mail support@flashwellapp.com with the deck's name and what it copies. If it does, we take it down, usually within 24 hours.
Changes
If these rules change, the date at the top changes too, and the app asks you to agree to the new version before you share again. These rules are part of the terms of use.
